Rare Sighting of Leopard in Rawsonville

One of our clients was lucky enough to be pointing a pair of binoculars at the right spot in the mountain when this leopard walked into her view!!! She had heard bleating noises of a lamb of a buck...and was looking for the source...well the leopard was obviously doing the same!

The tracks of leopards are often seen on the farms in the surrounding mountains of Worcester, but to see an actual leopard is RARE!!! That is why this photo is so special...she grabbed her camera with telephoto lens on, and had to look carefully to spot the leopard again! A bit blurred, but who cares! You can see it! I enhanced her original photos a bit and zoomed in on the leopard...wow! Really amazing!

Their farm is in the mountains at Rawsonville, close to Daschbosch Winery. So in the mountains in fact that she is constantly on guard for baboons...they (3 naughty teenagers) are terrorizing her dogs to get into the vegetable garden (she has no fences)! Apparently a good shot with a stone close by gets rid of them!

Here's another view of the leopard.

New Family Member...Cuteous

We've finally moved to a house with a garden...so now son could finally get a dog! And man, is she beyond cute...

4 months and Sparky the Jack (Mac) Russel is Sparkyous Cuteous!!!

...and obviously her name says it all, when she's not sleeping, she bounces around us, the balls, the bones, the cat, the lawn, you name it, she chases it, and us!

Straight into our hearts...my boy's first girl...sleeps with him in the bed...

The reason for this blog...

This whole blog started when I realised I needed a place to journal my ongoing life...well...STUFF!

The little frustrations, joys and pleasures of daily life.

Especially since I now really have the joys and pleasures (yeah, right!) of a teenage son of almost 15...and we had our first sulk last weekend!!!

I realised the fun I can have journaling (tongue in cheek of course!) all the little ups and downs and the fact that it can possibly help to keep me sane...(I have a husband too!!!) and the two men have a habit of driving me up the walls sometimes, just by being men!

So there you have it.

Time to have some fun!

Look...son's taller than Dad! He had to lean in to fit into the photo...well, he thought so, anyway!

This is us at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town.
